Abhimanyu Singh refutes to reports of theft at his residence worth Rs 1.37 cr

Actor Abhimanyu Singh has denied reports claiming that his Mumbai home was burgled and that valuables worth Rs 1.37 crore were stolen from his residence. The actor clarified that the widely circulated news about a robbery at his house is incorrect, even as police sources earlier indicated that a high-value theft had taken place in the Andheri–Lokhandwala area.
Abhimanyu Singh refutes rumours of burglary
The confusion arose after reports surfaced about Mumbai Police arresting a 40-year-old man in connection with a major burglary involving jewellery and cash. According to those reports, the accused was allegedly caught following an investigation into a theft worth over Rs 1 crore. However, Abhimanyu has firmly refuted claims linking the incident to his home, stating that no such robbery occurred at his residence.
In a video shared online, the actor is seen directly dismissing the burglary reports when questioned by photographers. Without going into further details, he made it clear that the information circulating about his house being targeted was inaccurate. His statement has raised questions about whether the incident involved a different property or whether there was an error in the initial reporting.
What had happened
Earlier reports suggested that the burglary had taken place during the night of December 29 and 30, with the accused allegedly entering a bungalow through a bathroom window and stealing a safe containing jewellery and cash. Police were said to have recovered valuables worth approximately Rs 1.26 crore after interrogating the suspect, who reportedly has a long criminal history and has been linked to multiple theft cases across Mumbai.
Despite these developments, Abhimanyu’s denial has shifted focus to possible misidentification or confusion surrounding the location of the crime. While law enforcement authorities have confirmed an arrest and recovery in connection with a high-value theft, it remains unclear whether the property involved belongs to the actor or someone else in the vicinity.
Abhimanyu Singh, known for his work in films like Gulaal and various South Indian projects, has not released an official written statement beyond his verbal clarification. The incident highlights the importance of accurate verification, especially when high-profile names are involved, as premature or incorrect reports can quickly spread misinformation and cause unnecessary concern.
