A fresh controversy has erupted around Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy, a film inspired by the blackbuck poaching case linked to Salman Khan. Days after the project was unveiled, the actor`s legal team reportedly sent a notice seeking to halt its release. Amid the row, producer Amit Jani publicly tore up the notice and claimed he has been receiving threats from Salman Khan`s supporters online.
Amit Jani’s video statement
Amit Jani shared a video in which he is seen tearing up the notice. He spoke about how he has been receiving threats from Salman Khan’s followers. “People keep asking me — the media, friends — what response should be given to the notice from Salman Khan. This notice, what should I reply to it? For the past 36 hours, all his fans from Dharavi to Jogeshwari have sent 1,000 messages, including death threats, saying they`ll cut my head off if I come to Mumbai.”
He continued, “So whom should I answer? Should I respond to the thousands of abuses delivered through Salman Khan`s toolkit, to those threats, or should I answer this notice? This is my reply to that notice.”

He concluded, “Now your threats have arrived — those from the people who gave you your toolkit: your rude fans, the street thugs raised in Dharavi, or the so-called fans living in Dongri and Jogeshwari — and the kind of messages we`re getting from D company saying they`ll finish off your family. You`ve got the reply to that notice. Now we will deal with D company.”
About Kala Hiran controversy
The Kala Hiran movie grabbed everyone`s attention last month when the makers dropped its first poster. The film is based on the blackbuck poaching case involving Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Soon after the film was announced, Salman reportedly sent a legal notice to the makers and demanded an immediate halt to the development and promotion of the movie. The notice alleges that it violates his personality rights and that the case is still pending before the Rajasthan High Court.
The film blends genres such as courtroom drama and crime thriller and will reportedly showcase the famous rivalry between Salman Khan and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in a cinematic manner.
