Ramayana is one of the most anticipated projects in India, and the film’s promotions have finally begun ahead of its trailer launch. Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, along with the other cast members and makers of the film, were present at the film’s Pratham Sankalp event in New Delhi. While the cast expressed pride in being a part of the project, Sunny Deol revealed how difficult it was to play Lord Hanuman and assured the audience that he would do justice to the role.

After receiving a warm welcome, Sunny was seen getting teary eyed. He began by revealing, “To tell you the truth, I have done only a little work on the film so far. I still have a long way to go. I am grateful that I received the opportunity to play Hanuman ji. I will make every possible effort to portray him in the right way.”
“Playing Hanuman ji is not easy,” Sunny added. “But I know I will enjoy it immensely. He is playful, innocent and powerful. He is loved by everyone, and above all, he is a devotee of Lord Ram.”

Sai Pallavi on playing Sita in Ramayana
When Sai was asked what it was like to play Sita in Ramayana, she said, “It’s not easy for actors to get roles like this because it’s not easy to play a Goddess. There must be a team putting their heart and soul into making it the best version.”
She then added, “I don’t think I chose to play Sita Maa. I was blessed to play this role. It’s not something that you can go after and not something you can write down and say, ‘This is how I want to play.’ I would sit and meditate and say, ‘Sita Maa, you act through me. Whatever comes through me is what you want for the film.’”
Ranbir used the occasion to address Arun Govil, whose portrayal of Lord Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s television series is etched in everyone’s memory. “Your journey has inspired not only an actor like me, but every person who watched Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan. You gave people faith and inspiration,” he said.
Addressing the audience in Hindi, Yash thanked Namit Malhotra for bringing this vision to life. “We have all come together with one vision and one conviction: to take this story to a global platform,” he said.
