Akshay Kumar to be part of Hanuman Ansh 2?
The rumours reportedly grew after Nagar described Akshay as her “favourite actor” during a recent interaction. When she was asked whether he would appear in the sequel, her cryptic response, “Voh Maharaj ji batayenge,” led to speculation that the actor could be associated with the project. However, Nagar has now clarified that the comment was not a casting announcement. Speaking to Hindustan Times, she said, “I have not said anything regarding Akshay Kumar in Part 2. It’s false.” The clarification puts the current speculation about Akshay’s casting to rest, at least until the makers make an official announcement.
Hanuman Ansh 2 confirmed
While Akshay Kumar’s involvement remains unconfirmed, the sequel itself is definitely moving forward. Director Vishal Chaturvedi had earlier confirmed that Hanuman Ansh was planned as the beginning of a larger story based on the life and spiritual journey of Neem Karoli Baba. According to The Indian Express, co-producer Namrata Singh said the makers had always envisioned the project as a trilogy. The second instalment is expected to focus further on Neem Karoli Baba’s life and his association with Kainchi Dham. The first film was released on August 7 and initially opened on a relatively limited number of screens. Hindustan Times reported that the film later crossed the Rs 50-crore mark and expanded its theatrical presence, prompting the makers to move ahead with the sequel.
Makers yet to reveal sequel’s cast
Nagar had previously confirmed that the sequel would be made, saying, “We are not going to dishearten our viewers. Maharaj ji has given us so much in abundance regarding the box office, so we don’t have a choice but to make this.” The makers have also discussed potential celebrity appearances in the broader Hanuman Ansh trilogy. India Today reported that the team had approached personalities including Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli and Julia Roberts for possible cameos, although none of those appearances had been confirmed. For now, Akshay Kumar’s name remains part of online speculation rather than the officially announced cast. With Hanuman Ansh 2 still in development, the makers are yet to reveal the complete casting and details of the next chapter.
