Salman Khan is set to appear as the first guest on Koffee With Karan season 9, premiering October 14 on JioHotstar. In the latest promo, Karan Johar revives his viral question from 2013 about Salman’s virginity, prompting a funny response from the superstar.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is back on the iconic Koffee couch, this time as the first guest on Koffee With Karan season 9. Host Karan Johar has dropped a fresh promo featuring some hilarious banter with the superstar. The clip also brings back a question Karan asked Salman during his 2013 appearance on the chat show.
In the teaser, Karan once again asks Salman whether he is still a virgin. Instead of responding directly, Salman imitates Ravi Kishan and replies, “Control, my brother, control.” The exchange takes viewers back to Salman’s appearance on Koffee With Karan season 4 in 2013, when the actor famously claimed that he was a virgin.

During the episode, Salman told host Karan Johar, “Yes, I am a virgin,” adding that he was saving himself for marriage. The statement soon became one of the most talked-about moments from the show. Karan later clarified that Salman had delivered the remark jokingly, delivering it with a straight face rather than offering a serious confession.
Why is Koffee With Karan coming to an end?
However, the upcoming edition will also mark the end of an era, as Karan has decided to conclude Koffee With Karan after nine seasons to focus more on directing films. While speaking to Variety, the filmmaker acknowledged the emotional significance of stepping away from a show that has been part of his career for more than two decades.
“This will be the last time I will be on a couch that has been synonymous with conversations, candour, and well… controversies… the decision is emotional and personal to me… But I am hoping the legacy of love the show has given me continues to brew in people’s hearts,” Karan said.
Koffee With Karan Season 9 will begin streaming from October 14 on JioHotstar.
