Deepika Padukone shoots Raaka action sequences amid pregnancy
As per a report by Variety India, Deepika has been continuously shooting for Raaka. The portal mentioned, “Despite recent headlines surrounding her advocacy for a structured eight-hour workday, Deepika Padukone remains fully committed to wrapping up her upcoming film, Raaka, on schedule. At seven months pregnant, the actress is pushing boundaries by pulling night shifts and executing physically demanding action sequences. Pouring all her focus into the project before embarking on maternity leave, she has successfully managed the film’s high-octane requirements.”
The crew of the film is mighty impressed with Padukone. One crew member gushed to Variety India, “It is inspiring for everyone on the sets to see Deepika perform like this. Not to forget, she has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter at home, who also gets her unwavering attention.”
Talking about Raaka
The film’s title was revealed on Allu Arjun’s birthday. The collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee is one of the most awaited. The film is reported to be a mix of fantasy and action, with some suggestions of a science fiction angle. Janhvi Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Rashmika Mandanna, and Ramya Krishnan are also part of the ensemble cast.
When Deepika announced her second pregnancy
In April this year, Deepika and Ranveer announced that they are expecting their second child together. The couple made the happy announcement by sharing an adorable picture of their daughter, Dua, holding a pregnancy test kit showing a positive result.
For those who do not know, Deepika and Ranveer got married in an intimate yet lavish ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in November 2018 after being in a relationship for several years.
On the work front, Deepika will be seen starring alongside Shah Rukh Khan once again in Siddharth Anand’s King. Recently, a leaked behind-the-scenes video from the sets of King went viral on social media. The clip featured a pregnant Deepika filming what seemed to be a romantic song sequence with SRK in Cape Town.
