Emraan Hashmi is ready to protect his beloved at any cost in Gunmaaster G9. The teaser of the upcoming action romance, also starring Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurana, was unveiled on Monday, giving audiences a peek into its world ahead of its theatrical release in November.

Directed by Aditya Datt, the film promises a heady mix of action, romance and music. But there is another reunion at the heart of Gunmaaster G9 that fans of early 2000s Bollywood may find particularly interesting. The film brings together Hashmi, director Datt and music composer Himesh Reshammiya, nearly two decades after their 2005 collaboration.
While the teaser introduces the film’s action-packed world and the chemistry between its lead actors, Gunmaaster G9 is also banking on a combination that has worked in the past. Himesh Reshammiya is composing the music, reuniting with Hashmi on the musical front.
Producer Deepak Mukut said the teaser marks the beginning of the film’s promotional campaign. “This will build anticipation for the film as the teaser has all the ingredients that make Gunmaaster G9 a big screen experience,” he said.
For Datt, the film is designed as a complete entertainer, bringing together several familiar ingredients from the action-romance genre. “Gunmaaster G9 is a film which will see Emraan Hashmi leaves no stone unturned in protecting the love of his life from everything that threatens her,” the director said, adding that the film combines action, romance and music for Hashmi’s fans.

Hashmi, meanwhile, revealed that he plays Eshwar, an ordinary dairy farm owner who finds himself willing to go to extraordinary lengths for the woman he loves.
“Adi and I have worked together in the past and we share a wonderful relationship as creative collaborators. We get each other intrinsically and when we are on set, we bring out the best in each other,” the actor said.
The first glimpse suggests that beneath the action-packed title is a story driven by Eshwar’s determination to protect his beloved from every threat that comes their way. How far he is willing to go is expected to form the emotional core of the film.
Along with Hashmi, the film stars Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurana, while Abhishek Singh is being introduced with the project.
