Ramayana trailer: Where is Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman?

The Ramayana: Part 1 trailer has finally been unveiled, earning widespread praise for Ranbir Kapoor’s Lord Ram and Yash’s Ravana. However, many netizens have been left wondering why Lord Hanuman is missing from the four-minute glimpse. With Sunny Deol set to portray the beloved deity, here’s why the makers may have chosen to keep him under wraps.
Why is Hanuman missing from the Ramayana trailer?
Hanuman, one of the most important characters in the Ramayana, is nowhere to be seen. Many fans believe the makers may have deliberately held back Sunny Deol’s first look to create more excitement closer to the film’s release. However, rumours are also rife that he plays a major role in Part 2 of the film.
For the uninitiated, Ramayana will be released in two parts. Reportedly, Part 1 will end with Sita Haran; however, there is no confirmation of this. According to the Valmiki Ramayana, the character of Lord Hanuman enters the story after Sita Haran. Hence, we might not get to see Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman in Part 1, which is likely why he is missing from the film’s trailer.
Several netizens questioned his absence from the trailer. One wrote, “The Ramayana trailer looked insane, but yaar… Hanuman Ji ka ek glimpse bhi nahi.”

Sunny Deol on playing Hanuman
At the Prathan Sankalp event for the film, the actor got emotional and revealed that he has only filmed a small portion of his role so far. He said, “I have done only a little work on the film so far. I still have a long way to go.”
He further added, “I would like to thank Waheguruji for giving me the opportunity to play Hanuman Ji. I feel truly blessed to be a part of this journey. Hanuman Ji’s character is not easy to portray, but it is going to be a great experience because he is innocent, strong, and powerful. Most importantly, we need everyone’s blessings as we have taken on such a big project.”
