Yash’s association with Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana is special for more than one reason. The actor, who plays Ravana and co-produces the epic, recently shared a heartwarming connection to the film involving his children, Ayra and Yatharv. The film also marked their first movie-watching experience at its Los Angeles premiere. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita, is set to release on November 5.
Why Ramayana is special for Yash?
For Rocking Star Yash’s children, Ayra and Yatharv, Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana will always hold a special place, with the epic marking their first movie experience at the LA premiere.
There is something rather special about the fact that the first film experience for Yash and Radhika Pandit’s children comes with a story as timeless as the Ramayana. We have learnt that seven-year-old Ayra and Yatharv, who turns seven today, October 30, had their first movie experience with Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana at an early premiere of the film.
While details of how the children experienced the film remain private, the connection makes for a heartwarming story. For Yash, who steps into the role of Ravana in the ambitious cinematic adaptation, the project is an important milestone in his career. For his children, it will always be associated with their first experience of watching a film. The film is co-produced by Rocking Star Yash, who also plays Ravana in the movie.
Yash on co-producing Ramayana
The team of Ramayana was recently seen gracing the grand premiere of the film in Los Angeles. Ranbir Kapoor and Yash were seen sharing a warm hug on the red carpet, while Yash also posed with his wife, Radhika.
At a recent pre-release event of Ramayana in Hyderabad, Yash addressed the audience and asked fans not to nitpick VFX faults in the upcoming film. “One thing I will tell you. Please don’t try to find small faults of VFX, this, that. It will never happen again. If we lose people like him (Namit Malhotra) now, it will take more years. We will go back. So let’s see with an open mind,” Yash said.
At the event, Yash also opened up about Malhotra’s commitment to bringing Indian cinema to the global stage. Describing his co-producer as someone whose ambition went beyond commercial success, Yash said his dedication was one of the key reasons he decided to collaborate.
