Patralekhaa stepped out for the first time after giving birth to a baby girl during Toaster promotions. However, the actress was trolled for gaining postpartum weight. Reacting to the online trolling of Patralekhaa, Maanvi Gagroo has slammed the body-shaming culture surrounding new mothers. The actress said she advised her Heer Sara co-star not to give attention to such negativity.
Maanvi Gagroo on Patralekhaa getting body shamed
In an exclusive interview with Screen, Maanvi expressed disappointment and said, “It’s so ridiculous. It’s 2026, I can’t believe we’re still talking about it. I had a chat with Patra about it. I said, ‘Don’t even dignify it with a response. It doesn’t even need your attention. You’ve got so much going about it in your life. Don’t even give it any mental space.`”
“Of course, it’s easier for me to say because I wasn’t on the receiving end of it. And maybe she did feel the need to say it. She’s just had a baby, man! What do people want women to do? But they’re just opinions at the end of the day. They’re not facts,” adds Maanvi.

About Patralekhaa slamming pap pages
The actress took to her Instagram Stories section to call out the harsh scrutiny. A few months back, the actress wrote on her Instagram Stories, “Pap pages! What`s happened to me!? is that I have just given birth!”
Giving a sharp answer, she added that she has not “sat and eaten a mountain”. “Yes, I have gained the weight, which seems like an unnatural phenomenon to you all. I have not sat and eaten a mountain, I just delivered a baby and produced two films simultaneously, which are not easy jobs,” said Patralekhaa, who is married to actor Rajkummar Rao.
It was on November 15 last year when Rajkummar and Patralekhaa embraced parenthood for the first time. They shared the news of the arrival of their baby girl, whom they have named Parvati Paul Rao.
On the work front, she will next be seen in Heer Sara. The film traces an emotional and transformative road journey of two women navigating personal struggles, societal expectations, and emotional healing. The film is all set to hit the screens on June 12.
